Are you well organised, confident with computers and great with people? Fairhive  are looking for a Head of Planned Maintenance and Compliance to join our busy and friendly team!

Fairhive is a non-profit affordable housing provider with ambition. We already provide affordable housing to more than 20,000 people in our community but we want to do more. That’s why we are striving to provide 1,000 additional homes by 2025.

As the Head of Planned Maintenance and Compliance at Fairhive you can expect to be in a dynamic role and to be an integral member of our team, providing support to the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the business. 

About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious individual with strong interpersonal skills who is able to multi-task to provide direction and support to the Property team.

On the Job you will:·

Deliver the planned maintenance and investment programmes to ensure that Decent Homes compliance is maintained

Ensure that regulatory compliance is maintained in terms of gas, electric, asbestos, fire, legionella and lifts

Responsible for organizing and managing major repair and replacement contracts, including any associated Section 20 notice procedures as necessary.

About You

We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of a variety of projects and who enjoys working with a diverse range of people. You will understand the importance of delivering an efficient and effective service to colleagues and customers.

For this role you will need:

A degree, or relevant technical experience, built on through substantial experience in a variety of settings

A professional qualification such as RICS, CIH, RIBA or equivalent

You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:

Line manager to amend the below as relevant for the job·

Significant post qualification experience in repairs and maintenance works.

Good communication skills both verbal and written·

Attention to detail·

Strong planning and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise·

The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team,·

Practical problem solving skills·

Computer skills (MS Office)
