Position: Associate Commercial Legal Counsel
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, FMCG sector (good hybrid woking on offer) – easy accessible from sounding counties
Salary: Up to £100k per annum plus car allowance, dual bonus, and benefits (excellent OTE)
Position Overview:
Our client within the FMCG sector based in the Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire area is now seeking an Associate Commercial Legal Counsel to support predominantly across the UK with some work in the EMEA region. You'll work closely with senior management, key account managers, and cross-functional teams, advising on a variety of legal and regulatory matters.
Responsibilities will include:
Reviewing, drafting and negotiate B2B supplier and customer contracts.
Provide legal and regulatory guidance to senior management and key stakeholders.
Support Procurement with contract reviews and negotiations.
Handling UK advertising and marketing contracts and regulations.
Advise on anti-trust, data privacy, industry codes, and advertising regulations.
Research and create legal briefings and guidance notes.
Handle miscellaneous legal queries and manage external counsel as directed.Ideal Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
UK Qualified Solicitor or Barrister
Between 3 – 10 years PQE.
FMCG, Consumer Goods or Retail sector exposure In-House or from private practice would be an advantage but not essential.
Strong experience handling a broad range of commercial agreements.
Experience with advertising and marketing contracts and regulations.
IP licensing knowledge and experience.
Exposure to e-commerce regulations would be preferable.
Familiarity with UK Bribery Act, FCPA, Modern Slavery Act, and UK Competition Law would be an advantage.
Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Salary/Benefits:
Competitive base salary up to £100,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus car allowance, dual bonus and benefits.
Hybrid working arrangement, with a good split of office and remote working on offer.
