Job Title: Recovery Worker (for the One Recovery Bucks Service)

Salary: £25,350.59 – £26,063.09 p.a.

Location: This role is based in High Wycombe

Job Role: This post is a full-time/permanent role (37.5 hours per week) and may include evening, weekend and bank holiday work (Part time hours would be considered in Aylesbury)

The Candidate: We are only able to consider applicants with experience of working within the substance misuse field, with a good working knowledge of drugs and alcohol.

Job Summary:

To work within the One Recovery Bucks (ORB) team to provide a dedicated comprehensive recovery focused service for people with drug and alcohol misuse across Bucks
To provide structured psychosocial interventions, group work and harm minimisation support within a recovery framework
To contribute to the delivery of Oasis business plans and ensuring that OASIS' vision and values are embedded within the organisationResponsibility for:

Provision of drug and alcohol treatment to service users within the locality
Holding a caseload of service users and being responsible for offering a range of interventions to that individual
Supporting a service user through their treatment journey from beginning to end
Embracing the concept of recovery and demonstrating this in your clinical work
Ensuring that your work is evidence based, up to date and in accordance with current policy and legislation
Keeping up to date and accurate records and documentationSkills and Expertise:

A good working knowledge and understanding of service users with drug and/or alcohol related problems
Experience in managing a caseload of service users with complex needs
Awareness of issues faced by others involved with people experiencing drug and alcohol related problems
Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor the message to the audience
Able to deliver a range of services/treatments/interventions in a person centred, non-judgmental manner
Able to demonstrate flexibility and creativity when developing support packages
Collaborative team working skills
Adaptable and able to work in a challenging and changeable environment
Ability to deliver against agreed objectives and targetsQualifications:

Vocational qualification e.g. NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification
Demonstrable education and/or training in substance misuse workTo ensure quality standards are maintained by:

Monitoring own performance to ensure it meets expectations and agreed performance criteria
Reporting variances to expected outcomes to the line manager
Participating in and utilising management information and data collection systems as appropriate
Participating in the continuous improvement of the serviceTo continuously review own performance and development needs to assist growth and development by:

Participating in open two-way dialogue during supervision, case management and appraisal meetings agreeing own task and development objectives and reviewing these as appropriate
Participating in training and other development opportunities as agreed within the supervision and appraisal process
To provide mentoring support for new and/or inexperienced workersTo ensure a safe working environment for self, colleagues, and service users by:

Ensuring good standard of housekeeping is maintained within own area
Ensuring risk assessments are completed when appropriate
Taking personal responsibility for own safety e.g. reporting concerns, ensuring appropriate vaccinations and eye tests etc. are obtained
Complying with all H&S policies and procedures including serious untoward incidents and accident reportingTo ensure compliance with internal and external standards and codes of conduct by:

Meeting all regulatory requirements
