Supply Desk are on the lookout for a creative and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join a dynamic arts department in the Aylesbury area. As a Drama Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring students to explore their creativity, develop their performance skills, and gain a deeper appreciation for the world of theatre and drama. You will have the opportunity to shape young minds, foster a love for the arts, and contribute to a vibrant school community.

The Role:

Design and deliver comprehensive drama curricula that align with educational standards and objectives.
Create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves creatively.
Lead drama classes and workshops, incorporating a variety of teaching techniques and approaches to engage students in the learning process.
Guide students in developing their acting, improvisation, and storytelling abilities through practical exercises and theatrical productions.
Organize and direct school plays, musicals, and drama performances, involving students in all aspects of production (e.g., acting, set design, costumes, etc.).
Foster teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills by encouraging students to work together on group projects and performances.
Introduce students to different theatre styles, genres, and playwrights, broadening their understanding and appreciation of drama.

The Ideal Candidate: 

Bachelor's degree in Drama, Theatre Arts, Performing Arts, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
QTS (Preferred) However, teachers with relevant teaching qualification and experience welcome to apply.
Proven experience in teaching drama to students at the middle or high school level.
Strong knowledge of drama techniques, acting methods, and theatrical production processes.
Ability to inspire and motivate students to explore their creative potential and develop their performance skills.
