EXPERIENCED TRANSPORT MANAGER OR LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR REQUIRED TO MANAGE A CHALLENGING, FORS ACCREDITED TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS OPERATIONS DEPOT
JOB TITLE: Depot Operations Transport Manager
SALARY: Negotiable Depending on Experience
LOCATION: Aylesbury
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Transport Operations Manager, Depot Manager, Distribution Manager, Logistics Manager, Senior Transport Supervisor, Transport Shift Manager
HOURS: Mon- Friday 7-5pm with 1 in 4 Sat AM
ROLE: Depot Operations Transport Manager
You will be responsible for the day to day management of a team of drivers and the Ad Hoc routing for a fleet of vehicles.
Give work instructions and monitor the performance of drivers, i.e. briefing/debriefing during course of working day.
Booking vehicle service and MOT
Maintaining FORS and WTD compliance
Ensure that all health and safety policies are complied with.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Depot Operations Transport Manager
You will be from a transport / distribution management background, ideally you will have worked in an environment where the planning is ad hoc and dynamic, responding to new work coming in.
You may have worked in Building Supplies, Quarrying, Aggregates, Waste Management, Recycling, Scrap Metal, Skip Hire, Plant Hire.
National CPC is required to be considered
FORS Experience a plus
IOSH/NEBOSH also considered an advantage
You will have excellent planning skills and a good understanding of compliance.
You will possess excellent written and verbal communication and organisation skills, as well as logistics experience.
You will have excellent man management skills
