A CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator is required to support the production of injection moulds and tooling at business with an enviable reputation, who provide comprehensive design services and production capabilities for plastic products.
Offering a stable environment and opportunities to progress to greater responsibility, this is a key role within the Toolroom whose primary focus will be manufacturing precision components for Injection and Blow mould tool production.
** Up to £48,000, Monday-Friday days, Healthcare **
As a CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator, your duties will include –
Liaising with the Toolroom manager to ensure the continual optimisation of CNC machining centres is achieved
Working to defined production schedules, you will apply a flexible approach to CAM programming e.g. on-control as well as off-line techniques should be applied as the job dictates.
Contribution to existing process improvements, whilst proposing the creation of new processes
Contribution to the design and manufacture of bespoke jigs and fixtures to support particular projects
Guiding and mentoring apprentices and junior members of staff in key skills such as assembly techniques of mould tooling
We are keen to hear from any applicants with –
A recognised engineering qualification gained via an appropriate engineering apprenticeship
The ability to understand engineering drawings and CAD data.
Previous experience with Hurco control systems and on-control programming
CNC Turning (Haas) and programming.
Proficiency with CAD/CAM programming software. Ideally Powershape, Powermill or VISI.
Demonstrable ability to operate more than one machine at a time.
Manual milling and turning
An awareness of EDM processes
CMM / inspection department processes
Experience in mould polishing, assembly and repair would be an advantage
Reliability and a strong commitment to customer care and service.
On offer for the successful CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator –
A salary of up to £48K depending on experience
07:30-17:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:30-14:30 Fridays

Based in Buckinghamshire, this role is commutable from Oxford, Bicester, High Wycombe, Aylesbury and all surrounding areas.
