Work Schedule – Mix of office working and remote work

Pay Rate – £21.14 per hour

On behalf of Buckinghamshire Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Auditor to join the Business Assurance team in their Walton Street offices in Aylesbury. Working alongside the Business Assurance Manager, you will play an important role in providing an internal audit service to all Buckinghamshire Council and external clients

About the role
As a Senior Auditor, you will support the Audit Manager in the delivery of a high quality service to internal and external clients through the conduct of audits, production of audit reports, providing advice and consultative services and contributing to the overall development of the service and audit planning. This will support the Chief Internal Auditor in providing an opinion on the system of internal control that support the management of strategic and operational risks.

This is a temporary position until 31st March 2024, though there is potential for this to be extended further or become permanent. The pay rate is £21.14 per hour, and you will be working full time, 37 hours per week (part time applications may be considered. Buckinghamshire Council are working on a hybrid basis where you will work remotely for 3-4 days per week and in the office 1-2 days per week.

The Aylesbury office is conveniently situated in the town centre (HP20 area) with great transport links including a local train station and excellent road connections to the M25, M1, M4 and M40.

About you
The successful candidate(s) must have:
Auditor/Senior Auditor experience
Educated to a degree level
Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CCAB/CIIA)
Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle and hold driving insurance covering business use
