Black Book Resourcing is seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Manager to join our client. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and ensuring the smooth running of all activities across all shifts.
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Hours of Work: 09:30 – 18:00 Monday to Friday (flexible approach needed), 08:30 – 12:00 Saturday (as per current weekend rota)
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all personnel in the warehouse across all shifts
* Manage all activities in the warehouse across all shifts
* Provide initial welfare support to all warehouse personnel
* Complete all necessary paperwork and file for audit purposes
* Act as Fire Warden, responsible for the Warehouse and rear yard
* Serve as a Company First Aider
Requirements:
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
* Ability to lead by example
* Computer literate and numerically literate
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral
* Good telephone manner and organizational skills
* Customer-focused with attention to detail
* Forklift qualification desirable
* Able to work as part of a team and carry out manual handling duties
* Commitment to safety standards
* Physically fit and able to work in a warehouse environment
* Experience with attendance & holiday database and Merlin software is a plus
Key Relationships:
* Internal: Distribution Manager, Head of Operations, Departmental Heads, Senior Management Team
* External: Suppliers, Hauliers
Working Environment:
* Warehouse environment with a strong focus on health and safety
* Maintenance and use of appropriate PPE provided
Appearance and Bearing:
* Regular requirement to deal with external agencies, so professionalism is required
* Issued company clothing must be well-maintained, laundered, and worn at all times
