TIG Welder

SF Recruitment are recruiting for a TIG Welder to work for our manufacturing client based in Aylesbury.

The role:
We have opportunities for a specially skilled individual with a welding background to join our production team.

Requirements:
We require an additional experienced coded TIG Welder to carry out fabrication and welding work as directed by the Welding Supervisor.
You must have worked for a minimum of 2 years within welding in a manufacturing industry.
Your normal hours of work will be 37½ per week
Candidates should expect to have a weld test as part of their interview process.

What you will need to succeed:
Essential attributes:
– A strong work ethic, positive attitude with good attention to detail.

– Must be able to work under your own initiative and as part of a team.

Key skills required:
– A certified TIG Welder
– Experience in working with Stainless Steel & Carbon Steel as a minimum.
– The ability to read engineering drawings
– The ability to read welding symbols

Desirable attributes:
– Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
– Experience in welding flux core
– Computer literacy

Your responsibilities:
– Look after the company's interests at all times.

– Ensure that the company's procedures are followed.
– Maintain good housekeeping practices.
– Comply with the company's health and safety policy.
Specific
– Carry out production duties in the fabrication and welding areas as directed by the Production Supervisor.
– Participate in the quality control process relevant to the work carried out, and ensure all defective work is immediately brought to the attention of the Production Supervisor.
– Carry out MPI/Dye Pen Inspections as required.
– To ensure that all work undertaken is always to the highest standards.
– Carry out and demonstrate 5S culture in your area of work as required.
– Ensure that all work undertaken is completed in a timely manner.
– To undertake any additional code requirements
