Support Assistant |Aylesbury | temp (ongoing) | £11.68 per hour
Rocasa Consulting is currently recruiting for a dedicated Support Worker/Support Assistant. The successful candidate will join the team of a fast-paced homeless hostel in Aylesbury, dedicated to vulnerable adults and young people with a history of homelessness, substance misuse, etc.
No homelessness experience is require. Good customer service and admin skills are essential, along with some experience in working with vulnerable people.

Location: Aylesbury
Pay rate: £11.68 per hour PAYE including holiday pay or £13.40 umbrella
Working pattern: mix of ealy (7:15-15:15) and late (13:30-21:30) shifts based on a rolling rota
Contract length: temporary ongoing
About the organisation:
Housing association with a portfolio of over 75,000 affordable residential and retirement homes across the UK. Their work ranges from homelessness services to social care, employment support and retirement living.
Key duties:
* You will be key in the day-to-day running Aylesbury supported housing service. No need to provide personal care. The priority in your role includes the safety and well-being of customers.
* You'll support customers in conversations with calls from their GP, Social Services, or Benefits teams.
* You'll dealing with the emergency services including the Police and Ambulance, when the need arises.
* You’ll log all incidents to make sure we have an accurate record of events. And when a customer leaves, you will clean and prepare their room, ready for the next occupant.
Requirements:
* Experience of working with people in a customer facing environment
* Some experience in supporting vulnerable people
* Good admin and IT skills
