Supervisor – Highways
Role is based in Buckinghamshire; Aylesbury is the main base, but work is based all over the county.
Overseeing sub-contractor teams, you will ensure that site operatives work in a safe and efficient manner while delivering on quality and to programme. The ability to plan works to schedule and manage multiple works is a large part of this role.
Experience & Ability
* Preparation of job packs.
* All works from drainage up to full carriageway resurfacing works.
* Good multitasker, with the ability to work safely and in a timely manner.
* Be expected to complete daily site paperwork tasks such as Start of Shift briefings and Permits To Dig.
* Have a good understanding of various construction techniques.
* Be able to liaise with contractors in absence of managers and problem solve on site.
* Be able to raise technical queries and ensure their resolution.
* Communicating all relevant information with the team.
* Be able to organise records of works and upload documentation.
* Ensure the smooth running of works through regular liaising with scheme designers and sub-contractor supervisors.
* Ensuring that the highest level of health and safety is always maintained.
* Updating work programmes.
Requirements
* Driving licence (essential)
* CSCS (essential)
* SSSTS (desirable)
