Stores Person Overview
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Stores Person to join a successful engineering and manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Aylesbury.
The Stores Person will work a 37-hour week and will report directly into the warehouse supervisor. You will be ensuring all goods are booked in and handled correctly in accordance with various procedures, to ensure product traceability.
You will occasionally be required to do some basic engineering assembly work, when the workload requires it. Occasional overtime will be on offer and additional pay will be provided. The role will be mostly focused within goods-in.
The business is also introducing a new warehouse management IT system, so applicants will ideally have some experience using a similar IT magament system to record product/stock information.
Day to day, the stores person will be responsible for booking goods into the warehouse, breaking down pallets, storing and scanning components, responding to kitting requests and ensuring full tracibility of components.
Stores Person Requirements
* Experience working in a stores or warehouse type role, within an engineering manufacturing environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to keep clear, accurate and traceable records for all products dealt with
* Driven and reliable
* IT literate
