My client has almost 60 years’ experience supporting their clients with health and safety consultancy. They’re seeking a Site HSE Advisor to carry out a site visiting role in the South Midlands.
The geography is quite fluid but ranges from the Northampton area down to Luton and Aylesbury across to Biggleswade. The advisor may have to travel outside of this area at times.
Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications etc. but would generally range between £35,000 – £45,000.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for carrying out, as part of the client’s HSE Team, regular and systematic site inspections at least once per month implementing the hazard category reporting system; carry out supportive development visits with the site management teams, contractors and/or operatives, and provide thorough balanced reports to the business unit within 24hrs. You will advise on the HSE Procedures of which you will have full working knowledge and ensure their company policies are adhered to.
Qualifications:
* Either NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Certificate (Essential).
* Be prepared to work towards an NVQ5 in Occupational Health and Safety (Desirable).
* Obtain Chartered Membership of IOSH if not already obtained (Desirable).
Experience:
* Experienced in a construction environment.
* Experience of organising and prioritising a demanding workload
