In this pivotal role as an Energy from Waste Shift Team Leader, you will have the power to shape our operations and inspire a dedicated team. Your mission will be to guarantee the health and safety of all staff, contractors, and visitors while driving optimal performance at our state-of-the-art incineration facility.
Your Responsibilities as an Energy from Waste Shift Team Leader:
* Unleash your leadership skills by providing guidance and direction to our exceptional operations team.
* Play a key role in developing and enhancing our safe systems of work (SSOW) for continuous improvement.
* Become our safety champion, promptly reporting and investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses.
* Lead the charge in operational excellence, driving improvement initiatives that elevate our efficiency.
* Collaborate with our planning and coordination teams to manage daily permit requirements and operational activities.
* Conduct thorough risk assessments, ensuring all activities are carried out with the utmost safety measures.
* Take charge as the site control person, overseeing HV, LV, and Mechanical SAP responsibilities.
What We're Looking for in the Ideal Candidate:
* A minimum of an HNC in a relevant Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
* 5 years of supervisory experience in a steam-powered plant operations position.
* In-depth knowledge and experience of working within a steam-raising environment.
* Essential qualifications as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP).
* NEBOSH or IOSH certified to ensure our commitment to safety.
* Flexibility to work a shift pattern that includes days and nights.
