We are looking for Warehouse Shift Supervisor to join our brand-new distribution site based in Aston Clinton, Aylesbury (HP22)
40 hours per week
Monday to Friday…no weekend working
Working set shifts of either 06:00 – 14:30 or 14:00 – 22:30
No bank holiday working required

Warehouse/distribution experience essential
As a Warehouse shift supervisor, you will oversee the shift operation of a team of up to 50 colleagues, working alongside the Warehouse Managers to monitor picking rates, control shortfalls and minimise picking errors, While providing the team a clear plan and communicating any changes and coaching to ensure service levels are achieved day in, day out.
Ideally you will come from a warehouse/distribution background, have solid experience of team leading or supervising both permanent & temporary workforce, good understanding of inductions & coaching alongside a drive & passion to be part of a new site set up.
Warehouse Shift Supervisor: The Role:
Manage a team of warehouse operatives to ensure their daily tasks are completed meeting the daily OTIF KPI.
Plan and execute the day-to-day operational activities ensuring that picks, packs and dispatches for distribution are managed effectively.
Coach, motivate and develop your team to achieve objectives and comply with Company policies and procedures, addressing any shortfalls in performance.
To facilitate effective communication, across the shift through regular feedback and ensuring team briefs are conducted which ensure all colleagues are informed of site changes and have up to date business information.
Practice and use lean principles to improve processes and remove non-value-added tasks & processes.
Ensure site security measures are enforced with staff and housekeeping standards, are met and maintained in line with Health & Safety and Quality Standards, taking prompt and appropriate action if any issues are identified.
Warehouse Shift Supervisor: The Person:
Previous experience of leading a team delivering against a targeted productivity
Experience of working in an evolving environment where no two days are the same.
Health & Safety awareness and understanding, and a commitment to safe working practices
Ability to define performance measures, analyse data to improve operation and reduce costs
Demonstrable experience working in a warehouse environment to include pick and pack, order consolidation and bulk dispatch.
Experience of working in a service lead time critical environment where quality and productivity are equally
Demonstrable experience of working in an IT lead process environment
