We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor specializing in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) projects to join our esteemed client. Responsibilities:

– Oversee all aspects of quantity surveying for M&E projects, including cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management.

– Collaborate with project teams to review and analyse tender documents, specifications, and drawings to accurately determine project scope and requirements.

– Prepare and submit comprehensive and detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender proposals.

– Conduct thorough material take-offs and obtain accurate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.

– Manage the procurement process, including sourcing and evaluating subcontractor bids, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

– Monitor project costs, track variations, and provide regular reports on budget status, cost forecasting, and financial performance.

– Collaborate closely with the project management team to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.

– Provide expert advice on contractual matters and resolve disputes or claims related to quantity surveying.

Requirements:

– Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong focus on Mechanical and Electrical projects.

– Extensive knowledge of M&E systems, equipment, materials, and installation processes.

– Proficient in reading and interpreting M&E specifications, drawings, and contract documents.

– Strong analytical and mathematical skills with exceptional attention to detail.

– Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

– Proficient in quantity surveying software and tools. Experience with relevant software such as [list relevant software] is preferred.

– Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
