Overview
On behalf of Buckinghamshire Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Climate Change and Environment team in Aylesbury. Working alongside the Head of Climate Change & Environment, you will play an important role in leading and/or providing specialist project management support to a range of projects within the Climate Change & Environment Service, which are in various stages of delivery. These projects include Tree Strategy, Flood Capital Programme, and Climate Change & Energy projects

About the role
As a Project Manager, you will be supporting different projects to progress. This will include feasibility one energy / renewable schemes, supporting tree strategy development (including tree risk issues)

This is a temporary position for until 31 July 2024, though there is potential for this to be extended further. The pay rate is £23.77 per hour PAYE, and you will be working full time, 37 hours per week (part time hours will be considered). Buckinghamshire Council are working on a hybrid basis where you will work remotely for 3-4 days per week and in the office 1-2 days per week.

The Aylesbury office is conveniently situated in the town centre (HP20 area) with great transport links including a local train station and excellent road connections to the M25, M1, M4 and M40.

About you
The successful candidate(s) should have:
Experience in an environmental topic, i.e. flood management, energy / climate change or tree management
Local Authority experience would be an advantage but not essential
Must be good at managing separate projects at the same time
Excellent communication skills and good at quickly establishing working relations with new teams.
