They are a leading designer and manufacturer of a cutting-edge range of equipment, used in growing markets such as the electric car market. This is a high-precision, low volume manufacturing environment. Recognised as one of the most innovative and technically advanced manufacturers globally, they are now looking to add to their team with a Manufacturing Engineer.
The Role: Manufacturing Engineer
Overall, the role is to support production and improve their processes and procedures. You will be working closely with the Production Director to set up their new ERP system. You will also work closely with others to learn what they do, how they do it and document this to create standard operating procedures. Responsibilities include:
* Collecting data and information, recording and interpreting along the way.
* Creating BoMs and work instructions.
* Assisting purchasing with scheduling and planning.
* Stock control and document control.
* Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
The Candidate: Manufacturing Engineer
You are organised, logical and comfortable using spreadsheets and different computer systems. You will also have previous experience in a manufacturing environment, so you know how products are put together and how to document this in SOPs.
You must be comfortable using:
* CAD software
* ERP / MRP
* Microsoft office, particularly Excel
To be commutable to the office you could live in or near one of the following locations: Woburn, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard, Newport Pagnell, Olney, Bedford, Northampton, Aylesbury
