An excellent opportunity for a confident and strategic Procurement Manager to join the purchasing and supply chain team within a global business specialising in manufacturing building materials. This is a permanent opportunity offering up to £55k dependent on experience. The role is based in Aylesbury with a hybrid working model.

The position is an ideal opportunity for an existing Procurement Manager with strong strategy implementation skills. It would also suit a senior level Buyer or Category Manager with some experience of leading or mentoring a team.

Role responsibilities of the Procurement Manager:

Developing and implementing procurement strategy for the business unit
Heading up the procurement team and helping to lead and develop them
Managing cost down projects to meet agreed targets
Owning the strategic procurement of key categories
Presenting updates and forecasts to senior management and the Finance team

Personal specification of the Procurement Manager:

Procurement experience in a transferable manufacturing environment
Proven negotiation and influencing skills
Effective team leadership skills
Strategically-minded
Demonstrable experience of identifying opportunities for cost savings

This position will be suited to you if you have held a role as a: Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Category Manager, Senior Buyer, Category Buyer or similar.
