An exciting opportunity for an adaptable and motivated Procurement Manager to join the purchasing and supply chain team within a fast-growing and environmentally conscious manufacturing company based near Aylesbury. This is a permanent opportunity offering up to £50k dependent on experience.
The position is an ideal opportunity for an existing Procurement Manager with experience of developing a supply base and managing a small team. The successful candidate will have experience as a Purchasing Manager, Procurement Manager, Category Manager or similar and will have worked in a transferable manufacturing or construction industry.
Role responsibilities of the Procurement Manager:
Developing and implementing procurement strategy
Monitoring and analysing supplier performance
Managing suppliers, benchmarking and negotiating to achieve cost savings
Coaching and developing a small procurement team
Taking steps to improve the efficiency of supply chains
Personal specification of the Procurement Manager:
Works well under pressure and within a fast-paced environment
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Excellent communication and organisational ability
Track record of meeting cost reduction targets
Experience of people management and developing a team
This position will be suited to you if you have held a role leading a purchasing or supply chain team as a: Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Category Manager, Commodity Manager, Procurement Team Leader, or similar.
