Job Role: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £50,000-£55,000 DOE
Hours: 8:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday, 14:00 finish Friday
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Holidays: 33 days including bank holidays
The client:
Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established, market leading supplier of heat exchangers based in Aylesbury as they look to add a Manufacturing Engineer to their growing team. Our client has been established for over 100 years and have collaborated with global brands all over the world within an array of industries, including and not limited to, Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Renewable Energy and Defence. After a brilliant financial year for our client, they are now looking to grow the team and welcome a versatile engineer to the team to assist with the running of the plant.

The Role:
· Deliver effective support to the manufacturing team, liaising with the Engineering Manager to ensure the smooth running of the plant.
· Promote a philosophy of continuous improvements, making suggestions to the Manager on how to improve the efficiency of the manufacturing team.
· You will be hands on with CNC machinery, assisting the team with machinery where required.
· Promote Lean Manufacturing on site, using Sigma Six methodology.
· Identify project costs, finding solutions to work within these constraints whilst ensuring all projects are completed efficiently.
· Work closely with the Design team to ensure all designs are done correctly and all customer specifications have been met.
· Analyse and provide solutions to the Assembly and Manufacturing teams to ensure processes are as efficient as possible.
· Produce documentation regarding the efficiency of the plant, suggesting any improvements you feel are required.
The Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years experience as a Manufacturing engineer in a production environment (essential)
· Previous experience working with CNC machinery (essential)
· Previous experience working with CAD packages, including SolidWorks (essential)
· Experience with the Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing techniques (advantageous)
· Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs) – Advantageous
· Previous leadership experience (advantageous)
