A food waste recycling plant has an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. This role is based in Aylesbury, and working on a 4-on 4-off shift pattern, where you will utilise mechanical and electrical competencies, within FMCG, energy or oil and gas industry.

Commutable from: Aylesbury, Bicester, Thame, Oxfordshire, Haddenham, Winslow, Gawcott

Salary: £40,000 p.a. – £43,268 p.a. plus pension contribution, BUPA medical cash plan, life assurance, 20 days annual leave + bank holiday (rising with service)

The Role of Maintenance Engineer:

Working on heavy machinery and industrial equipment
Perform all maintenance engineering duties to high health and safety standards
Ensure all machinery and services are routinely maintained in line with operational requirements.
Provide mechanical and electrical support across the site (electrical or mechanical bias)
Quickly respond to machine and system failures
Communicate maintenance progress updates to colleagues.
Manage site spares and ensure availability of critical items across the site
4 on 4 off shift pattern (7am – 7pm)

The ideal Maintenance Engineer:

A technical / engineering qualification, ideally apprentice trained with HNC or NVQ qualification
At least 3 years experience in maintenance, ideally within chemical, renewable energy, FMCG or oil and gas industry
Experience with ATEX equipment within a working hazardous environment would be beneficial
A good understanding of maintenance processes and activities
Knowledge of maintenance management systems
The ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
