This highly regarded community school aims to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to assist a Year 1 student with Autism. The student has English as a second language and encounters difficulties comprehending the class teacher's instructions throughout the lesson. Although the student may occasionally exhibit challenging behaviour due to frustration, they are nonviolent and quickly regain composure with appropriate support. The student has made significant progress thus far, and the school seeks an individual who will foster this continued growth.
The school offers continuous training and professional development as part of this role, with the potential for permanent employment at the conclusion of the academic year.
