About the role
We are looking for an IT Systems Administrator on a fixed term 2 year post to help us with our Agile IT Project.
On the Job you will:
Providing Systems Administrative support for the new systems until in position to handover to end users. This includes setting up users and code tables as required.
Undertaking testing and evaluation of the Systems, implementing system changes and planned improvements (including upgrades and enhancements).
Meet with managers, users and suppliers to understand needs and requirements and system capabilities.
Document system development requirements and provide recommendations on how these can best be provided. Then, working with the business, take the lead in developing and implementing these changes.
Investigating incidents and problems relating to these systems (including logging calls onto IT Service Desk). Taking the lead in resolving these issues, and where required escalating to the supplier and ensuring final resolution.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with data and people across the business and helping meet their informational needs.
For this role you will need:
Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to work to schedule and tight deadlines
Experience of supporting users of IT applications, and of training users in specific software or application skills.
Experience of working with staff at all levels, including senior managers, with an appropriate regard for confidentiality.
Good business awareness and a proactive approach to solving business problems.
