We are looking for Health & Safety Advisor to join our brand-new distribution site based in Aston Clifton, Aylesbury (HP22)
40 hours per week
Permanent position
Monday to Friday – 14:00 – 22:30
No bank holiday working required

Our new distribution site is Brand New and will be our state-of-art flagship site for the UK operation, as the site is new you will really be able to make this job your own.
As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will be supporting the Health & Safety manager to ensure and efficient and compliant distribution centre. You will work with the health & safety manager to carrying out statistical analysis and trending to identify issues of concern, assisting in the creation, modification and delivery of relevant action plans.
You will use your experience of delivering HSEQ in a distribution/warehouse environment to lead and influence the warehouse operations team to drive continuous improvement and deliver the strategic plans from the H&S manager.
You will need to have a Health & safety experience from a wholesale/ distribution environment, solid experience of conduction investigations to understand root causes , have an understanding of NEBOSH or IOSH or be happy to work towards this qualification alongside a drive & passion to be part of a new site set up.
Health & Safety Advisor: The Role;
Support implementing of new best practices within the HSE systems and policies.
Carrying out root cause analysis following any HSE issues and putting corrective measures in place into mitigate risk in future.
Support accident and near miss processes to ensure all are fully investigated, reported internally, reported to the enforcing authorities and insurers where required and to communicate learning's to the wider business to prevent recurrence
Support H&S manager of the distribution centre on H&S matters with external stakeholders, customers, Environmental Health Officers, HSE, Fire authority.
Supporting on statutory tests and inspections are carried out within due process within the distribution centre
Supporting on all reactive maintenance issues and jobs raised ensuring where required the works are quoted/tendered and completed satisfactorily within budget
Managing the ISO management systems and equivalent standards, ensuring processes, procedures and the register of legislation meet the requirements of the standards
Supporting wider H&S team in any HSSE matters which may occur in the wider business as and when required
