JOB DESCRIPTION: Finance Director, CFO, Financial Controller – Commercial – Retail Community
The successful candidate will have proven experience working in a Commercial Finance capacity for a business with turnover in the region of £40-£100million. In this role, your efforts and work can genuinely impact the progress of the business. This is a commercial finance role and will include exposure to both external and internal customers. Your focus will be split between Strategic & Commercial elements (40%), Financial Management & Reporting (40%) and managing External and Commercial Relationships (20%).
Your main duties will also include:
· Complete strategic and commercial responsibility of the Finance function in the UK
· Direct reporting to the Divisional Managing Director with a dotted line to the Divisional Financial Controller
· Managing a team of 7 finance through the Financial Controller

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Finance Director, CFO, Financial Controller – Commercial – Retail Community
As the Finance Director, you will have a wealth of experience leading a commercially focussed finance function within a large SME or corporate business environment. We would be delighted to receive applications from Financial Controllers, Directors, Business Partners with aspirations to secure a move to a progressive business where your insights and suggestions will have the potential to shape the organisation.
In addition, you will have:
· A finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) would be preferred although we are happy to receive applications from candidates who are qualified by experience (QBE).
· The ability to take an overall commercial view of our business and have an input into change and progression from a financial perspective.
· Strategic planning experience.
· Strong communication skills and the willingness to have commercial input at local and group level.
· Experience of legal, personnel, health & safety and company secretarial issues.
· Experience of managing the external audit process.
