If you are looking for an exciting new opportunity then consider using your skills and experience by working as a Facilities Supervisor on a permanent basis at HMP Grendon Springhill

You will lead workflow processes and manage various trade and facilities staff members to deliver planned maintenance, reactive maintenance and other aid services as required in order to meet the sites goals and objectives.

Our client is a non-profit company owned entirely by the Ministry of Justice, supplying facilities management services to 50 prisons over the South and East of the UK with over 1,400 staff.

Duties of the Facilities Supervisor will include, but not limited to:

Dealing services such as; cleaning, escorting, handyperson, stores, grounds, painting, waste management and others
Accountability for the supervision of all staff within their area of responsibility, providing direction on the work for the day and that relevant work area is maintained to a high standard
Maintain the site compliance files and information as allocated by the Site Manager
To take accountability for the effective management of the tool inventory and maintain security standards within the work area
Ensure the works stores have adequate stock for day-to-day facilities activities.
Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of electronic systems relating to people and tasks in area of responsibility.
Update the system as and when requiredSkills and Abilities the successful applicant should possess:

A solid background in facilities management and a knowledge of software such as Planet FM and Microsoft Office

Planning and project management skills and an ability to drive change, with an ability to search for solutions to seemingly complex issues
An ability to source, organise, induct and direct contractors to undertake works on behalf of the business whilst assessing their competencies and ensuring all necessary security clearances have been obtained
A basic knowledge of HR and Recruitment principles to support interviewing and inducting candidates.
Previous experience managing and leading teams within a facilities environment, with confidence to influence people who are not part of your teamIf successful you will receive:
