We are working on behalf of a leading remediation and earthworks contractor, dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment. We are currently seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our team in Aylesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional to contribute to meaningful environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Project Leadership: Direct and manage environmental projects, focusing on contaminated land within the UK, ensuring compliance with UK environmental regulations, efficient delivery, and adherence to budget and time constraints.
2.
Expertise in Contaminated Land: Specialize in the assessment, management, and remediation of contaminated sites, applying best practices and innovative approaches in line with UK standards.
3.
Soil Testing and Analysis: Supervise soil sampling and testing activities to determine contamination levels and devise appropriate remediation strategies, ensuring methodologies align with UK industry standards.
4.
Geotechnical Insights: Utilize geotechnical expertise to evaluate the stability and safety of soil and rock, contributing significantly to project planning and safe execution in the UK context.
5.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with UK-based clients, local authorities, and community groups, ensuring transparency and strong relationship management.
6.
Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of environmental specialists, fostering a collaborative and progressive working environment, with a focus on professional development within the UK industry framework.
7.
Sustainability and Environmental Stewardship: Promote and implement sustainable and environmentally friendly practices, staying informed about UK-specific environmental conservation trends and regulations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in environmental project management, particularly in areas related to contaminated land, soil testing, and geotechnical processes.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant degree in Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
* Commitment to promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
