Position: Customer Service/Supply Chain Representative

Salary: £24,000 – £28,000

Location: Aylesbury

Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service/Supply Chain Representative to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Aylesbury

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Customer Service/Supply Chain Representative to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

You will be responsible for:

Respond to customer e-mails in a timely manner
Process customer orders within the inhouse ERP ordering system (QX)
For your assigned customer accounts, develop a good understanding of their requirements and strong working rapport with your key customer contacts
Review stock availability and flag any shortage or delays
Book couriers and provide quotes for carriage charges
Process return requests within the system
Raise any quality concerns or NCRs with the quality team
Provide despatch information and regular delivery updates to our customers
Answer any incoming calls to the company
Greet and check-in visitors on arrival on site.
Place orders for components and raise relevant purchase orders within the ERP system (QX).

Select the appropriate supplier for each order to meet budget and forecasted production requirements.

Investigate and resolve stock order queries within the QX system.

Ensure OTIF deliveries and progress OTIF actions from monthly data.

Work closely with internal customers (Customer Service, Materials, Account Managers, Production, Quality, Finance and Warehousing) on order fulfilment, customer delivery and stock levels.

Create and send forecasts to suppliers for a range of commodities.

Develop effective working relationships with all suppliers through regular communication, status updates and interactions to identify issues and resolve problems.

Liaise directly with global procurement teams in China and Malaysia to co-ordinate with Far East suppliers.

Send RFQ's (Request for Quotes) to suppliers and consolidate prices.

Provide data and reports from QX for inventory management, stock levels & supply chain KPIs.

Support on continuous improvement projects in line with business priorities and stock management strategies.

Experience:

Experience working in a busy customer-facing office or commercial environment
Commitment and desire to provide exceptional levels of customer service
Good communication and interpersonal skills – confident on the phone
Good computer literacy – proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel). Previous experience of using an ERP or stock management system would be preferred
Ability to work with and prioritise multiple tasks
Willingness to ask questions, identify issues and suggest ideas for improvement.
