CNC Turner Programmer – Fanuc

Working Hours:
⦁ 40 Hours per week.
⦁ 08:00 – 16:30, Monday to Friday.
⦁ Overtime available.
⦁ 23 days holidays per year (plus Bank Holidays).

The client is a family run company that was established in 1985, providing high quality precision machined components for the subcontract sectors.

A successful candidate would have the opportunity to work for a fast-growing company, in a modern workshop environment with the latest machine tools and would need to be able to work effectively as a team member and have strong problem-solving skills.

Required Skills/Competencies:
⦁ Experience with Fanuc controls – On fixed head CNC lathes and/or sliding head lathes.
⦁ Experience operating and programming multi-turret lathes would be a significant benefit.
⦁ Understanding of engineering drawings and working with tight tolerances.
⦁ Strong communication and time management skills.
⦁ CAD/CAM experience is desirable.
⦁ ISO (Apply online only) experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:
⦁ Producing high quality machined components to tight tolerances.
⦁ Programming, setting and operating fixed head CNC lathes.
⦁ Completing small to large batch work plus prototypes.
⦁ Work collaboratively as a team member to improve existing processes and quality control.
⦁ Working with a variety of materials from plastics, aluminium and stainless steels.
⦁ Maintain production records to comply with ISO 9001:2015 and company procedure.
⦁ Ability to work as part of a team as well as under own initiative.
