The Company

REED Engineering are currently working with one of our long-standing Engineering clients in Aylebsury who are specialists within the design and manufacture of bespoke industrial equipment to various sectors such as Food & Beverage, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical and more.

The Role & Responsibilities:

Due to growth, our client is seeking to employ a CNC Machinist on a permanent basis to join their busy production team in Aylesbury. Full details of the roles responsibilities are outlined below…

Work as a part of the Production team in fulfilling the machining requirements
Conventional machining i.e. turning, vertical boring & drilling etc of various components in accordance with the drawings as instructed.
The setting & operating of CNC drilling & milling machines.
Taking the lead in manufacturing high quality parts using CNC and traditional machines
Carry out the conventional & CNC machining of Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Titanium & CuNi materials as instructed.
Work in accordance with the in-house ISO 9001 QA system
Participate in the quality control process relevant to the work carried out and ensure all defective work is immediately brought to the attention of the production supervision
Comply strictly with the Company Health and Safety Policy
Be responsible for the general upkeep and daily maintenance checks of machines, where directed by the Production Controller.
Play an active role in developing the safe and efficient systems of work within the Production environment
Carry out general duties when required.

Working Hours:

37½ per week – Monday – Friday – 10am-6pm

Person Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of experience within a manufacturing environment as a CNC Machinist
Ability to communicate at all levels, both internally and externally
A strong work ethic, positive attitude with good attention to detail.
The ability to: solve problems, work under pressure, prioritise.
Must be able to work under your own initiative, but also to work as part of a team.
