As part of an exciting growth strategy, our client is looking for a highly motivated Chief Production Engineer to join their team. They deliver a range of high precision gears and assemblies to a very impressive portfolio of OEM clients.

Day Shifts
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 08.00 – 4.30pm Friday 08.00 – 3.30pm
15min paid and 30min unpaid breaks
Pension
Working from home may be permissible
Holiday 28 days including bank holidays Chief Production Engineer – Requirements
Engineering Degree level (mechanical); ideally Master’s degree
Minimum of 10yrs experience in an Engineering environment
Effective time management skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Multitasker
Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic Chief Production Engineer – Responsibilities
Preparing best practice machining process documentation and manufacturing operating instructions.
Defining/optimising production processes utilising extensive knowledge of raw materials and special processes.
Experience using CAD/CAM software eg Edgecam, Fusion, Hypermill or SolidWorks/SolidCAM
Developing common practices, routines, and solutions to help improve productivity and product quality.
Overseeing new and assessing existing processes and workflows.
Assessing compliance and adherence to safety and quality standards
Creating Process cycle time estimates
