Assistant Management Accountant – 6 months fixed term contract

Pertemps Aylesbury is currently recruiting for a Assistant Management Accountant on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave for our IT client based in Aylesbury.

Hours: 9am-5pm

Location: Aylesbury

Contract: 6 months

Duties:- Sales Ledger, post cash payments, prepare and update credit chase file, attend to any customer queries, Prepare overdue list, and run month end procedure
Assist Management Accountant with month end close to ensure we keep to 3 day timetable
Monitoring the finance mailbox alongside other finance colleagues to ensure all queries are being actioned and invoices filed to the relevant folders.
Credit Control, check credit chase file regularly, contact customer for due and overdue invoices, ensure credit file is updated regularly. Provide copy invoices and statements upon request.
Cashbook, monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring all manual payments and receipts are posted.
Dealing with the company credit cards.
Payroll, running monthly payroll with our outsourced provider, providing payroll information for month end accounts. Dealing with HMRC and ensuing payments to HMRC are paid on time. Employee query resolution.
Monthly commission and bonus payments, once sales ledger is closed, prepare the commission file for all sales team, managers and those on a bonus scheme.
Update commission trackers that are sent to the sales team, set up meetings with all the sales team to communicate monthly commissions and resolve any to ensure we are all in agreement before processing the payroll.
Assist with the production and review fixed overhead reports providing feedback to functional heads to ensure all costs they have showing as spent match with what has come through the P&L.
Prepare the back order status report for monthly forecast, checking the backlog and order status report match at month end, split the support revenue via the relevant months.
Provide better reporting on expenses and track the monthly trend per employees, send this to the ELT. Additionally set up authorization hierarchy to ensure all management are signing off on teams expenses.
Requirements:
Part Qualified Accountant- Minimum of 5 years of experience
Experience in payroll processing
Experience using Sage
