Pertemps Recruitment, on behalf of Buckinghamshire Council, has an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Administrator to join the Resources team in Aylesbury. Working alongside the Business Support Coordinator, you will play an important role in the provision of efficient clerical and administrative support, including support of office and team processes and systems.
About the role
As a Business Support Administrator, you will be responsible for:
Providing administrative and clerical assistance
Providing word processing support and type and send electronic mail
Providing a friendly and helpful response to enquiries via the telephone, or from callers to the office, and ensure that full and accurate messages are passed to the appropriate person or that appropriate action is taken
Receiving visitors – ensuring they are made welcome and are looked after as appropriate
Assisting with the input of text and data for a variety of purposes
Assisting in the compilation of reports
Maintaining and retrieving information as requested
Ordering stationery and equipment as requested
Participating in regular team meetings
Being aware and implementing quality and performance standards in your own area of responsibility
Any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of the post which may, from time to time, be delegated by the post holder’s line managerThis is a temporary position for 6 months. The pay rate is £11.81 per hour, and you will be working full time, 37 hours per week.
The Gateway office is conveniently situated in the town centre (HP19 8FF area) with great transport links including a local train station and excellent road connections to the M25, M1, M4 and M40.
The successful candidate(s) should have:
Practical experience within an office environment
Working knowledge of relevant processes and systems
Knowledge of the service provided in own area
ICT skills including use of Microsoft applications
Good verbal and written communication skills
Numerate and accurate with attention to detail
Understanding of how to deal with customers appropriately
