Do you have strong people skills and the ability to process finances? Are you numerate and logical, with high attention to detail?

We have registered this fantastic opportunity within a highly-regarded school! The role is largely people-facing, melded together with finance responsibilities. The successful candidate will

ensure the smooth running of the school office in addition to a range of accounting duties.

Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. The full-time role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.

Temporary Finance Officer Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

Acting as first point of contact for parents
Maintaining the ledger
Processing payments and chasing those outstanding
Assigning ledger codes
Meeting and greeting guests
Ordering stationery and staff supplies for distribution
Liaising with Head Office regarding finance and property matters
Managing staff files
Responding to the children in a sensitive yet professional manner
Attending any formal or informal school events outside of school hours as required by the Headteacher

Temporary Finance Officer Requirements

Previous experience in a relevant financial role, knowledge of Sage would be preferred
Strong administrative skills, ideally gained within an education setting
Highly proficient written and spoken English
Exceptional communication and people skills
Self-motivated, organised and keen to learn
Able to work in a busy environment with adults and children
Professional attitude and ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
Good knowledge and understanding of iSAMS and office software packages
Experience of school-based systems would be advantageous but not required
The Location     

Our client is located just outside Aylesbury (HP17). There is parking on site.
