Senior Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure
Location: Buckinghamshire
Salary: £65,000-£75,000
About Us:
We're seeking a dynamic Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Infrastructure team in Aylesbury. As a prominent principal contractor, we are a forward-thinking and ambitious organisation committed to delivering exceptional projects.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the creation of a safe working environment on Infrastructure projects.
Negotiate and produce subcontract documentation, managing packages and change processes.
Issue commercial notices to clients and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to contract requirements.
Liaise with operational and engineering staff to uphold site record standards.
Produce monthly reports, Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR), and maintain a detailed Cost Plan.
Attend progress and risk reduction meetings with clients and subcontractors.
Apply principles for maximizing value and profit, supporting estimating and bid teams.
Requirements:
Solid understanding of standard forms of contract.
Proficient in IT, including Excel, Word, and Contractual and Cost Management Systems (CEMAR, Oracle).
Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, and construction process knowledge.
Experience with NEC3/4 Option C and main contracts.
Professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS (Desirable).
Experience in Civil Engineering Environment (Highways/Rail/Water/Aviation) with exposure to large schemes.
CSCS – As appropriate.
