Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – £50k-£60k – Aylesbury – Electro-Mechanical
Platform Recruitment has partnered with a company that specialises in the design, manufacture and worldwide distribution of electro-mechanical instruments. As part of the company’s expansion plan, they’re looking for a qualified Senior Engineer who is experienced and interested in all aspects of product development, including concept generation, prototyping, test, analysis and manufacture.
Main Duties:
+ Produce conceptual designs
+ 3D CAD design
+ Prototype & test designs
+ Precision mechanism design
+ Design from concept through to product launch
+ Mentor junior engineers
Skills & Experience:
+ Degree in Engineering
+ Strong 3D CAD skills
+ Creativity and blue sky thinking
+ Experience in designing precision mechanisms
+ Knowledge of different manufacturing processes – machining & injection moulding
+ Hands on and practical
+ Experience in designing electro-mechanical products is advantageous
The salary will be between £50,000-£60,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefit package available including a good bonus.
