A Milton Keynes pharmaceutical wholesaler was jailed for stealing prescription drugs – including Class A – from his employers.

Robert Fisher initially told a judge the stealing had only taken place during lockdown.

He was arrested after police examined his mobile phone and discovered he had been selling stolen drugs for three years prior to the pandemic.

The defendant, from Bradwell Road, New Bradwell, admitted five counts of theft by an employee for supplying and offering class A drugs, as well as for selling prescription-only medicines.

A judge sentenced the 30-year-old to three years and four months in prison.

According to the judge, Fisher was confronted by his employer at Mawdsley Brooks pharmaceutical wholesaler after a colleague noticed that bottles of arsenic trioxide were missing from their container.
