Job Title: IT Data Analyst (SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)

Location: Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, HP21 8AL (Hybrid- 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home)

Pay: £25.60 per hour

What you’ll be responsible for:

* Ensure a robust process is implemented and executed for the Endoscopy and Gastroenterology dept at Buckinghamshire NHS HealthCare Trust to provide a data extraction service delivering accurate, tailored information to meet specific needs in support of depts requirements for a wide range of projects.

* Work with Management team and lead clinicians and other partners to identify datasets required to execute service improvement projects, providing a high quality of customer service with real time data tracking composition of required reports, data cleansing and continued cross correlation of patient flow.

* Work with colleagues in Informatics and Information Performance team to ensure that all necessary approvals are received for the release of the required datasets.

* Extract and provide the required information from a range of databases to management teams in a timely manner for use in projects, supporting the Trusts ambitions to be a leader in providing high-quality, comprehensive datasets which can be used to advance patient care through research.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

* Degree or equivalent level qualification in a numerate/analytical discipline or equivalent industry experience and some amount of experience in an information management role

* Evidence of Continuous Professional Development, i.e., specialist IM& T training/study/research, attendance at relevant conferences/workshops Desirable

* Substantial knowledge of data warehousing

* Advanced knowledge of information management, information analysis and ICT tools, techniques and principles

* IT Tools: SQL, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Internet, statistical packages, modelling & simulation packages and trust management & reporting systems.

* Appreciation of and compliance with the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information and Caldicott.

* Experience of working within the NHS.

* Knowledge of MS SQL server and Business Intelligence stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)

* A strong customer focus with a commitment to collaborative working.

* Develops effective working relationships with all professional contacts in all disciplines.

This role may require you to show evidence of education to Degree level or at least 2 years relevant experience.
