Job Title: Fire Carpenter

About the Trust

What you’ll be responsible for:

* Repair fire doors

* Basic fire stopping of compartments

* Replace fire doors

* To manage and complete planned and reactive maintenance work.

* Small works (fit out new kitchens, offices etc)

* To cover absences or demands/emergencies you must be prepared to carry out other general maintenance duties

* To be responsible for ensuring you are on site at 8.00am for your first task and finishing at the site of your last scheduled task at 4.00pm

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

* HND in Building Surveying; or equivalent experience or City and Guilds Level 3 in Carpentry and relevant equivalent experience & followed an apprenticeship

* Extremely detailed knowledge of HTM/HBN requirements in relation to estate management

* Has a good knowledge of IT systems, CAFM workforce systems

* Knowledge of risk management approaches

* Experience of working across departments and organisational boundaries

* Proven ability to communicate technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences

* Excellent written and oral communication skills, including report writing

* Significant relevant experience working within an estate’s maintenance team or as a site/self-employed carpenter

* Experience of staff management and HR processes

* Experienced in the use of a wide range of Microsoft packages with keyboard skills

* UK driving licence
