Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker to join our team and contribute to the smooth operation of our school. The Caretaker plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of our school community and support our mission of providing an excellent educational experience.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of the school premises to identify maintenance needs and ensure that facilities are well-maintained and in good repair.
Cleaning and Housekeeping: Oversee the cleanliness of the school buildings, including classrooms, corridors, restrooms, and common areas.
Security and Safety: Monitor security systems and procedures to safeguard the school property and prevent unauthorized access. Respond promptly to security breaches, emergencies, and safety hazards, following established protocols.
Groundskeeping: Maintain the outdoor areas of the school.
Equipment and Supplies: Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials needed for facility maintenance. Ensure that supplies are adequately stocked, and equipment is properly maintained and used according to manufacturer guidelines.
Event Support: Provide assistance and support during school events, activities, and functions. Set up and arrange furniture, equipment, and facilities as needed, and ensure that venues are clean and presentable before and after events.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures, including fire safety, risk assessments, and COSHH guidelines. Take proactive measures to mitigate risks and promote a safe environment for all
