A market-leading £1 billion turnover group are looking for a motivated and proactive Trainee Area Sales Manager to join their DIY, home and garden business in Aylesbury. It's an exciting time to join this growing business as they move from their current flagship location in Chesham to a brand new, bigger location in Aylesbury in the next 6 months.
The business you'll be joining has two specialist divisions; DIY & garden and construction & industrial supplies. Their team deliver excellent customer service and product solutions to a friendly and welcoming industry of customers including garden centres, high street retailers and building and engineering companies.
Role Responsibilities
You will be given the tools to be successful and the freedom to make an impact and progress in this highly sociable and fast-paced industry. Upon joining this sales training scheme, you will learn about the running of the business, their product range and develop valuable commercial skills that will benefit you for years to come. While you will gain knowledge and experience in a range of business areas, the initial focus will be on internal sales. You initial training will be at the current location in Chesham.
Having built a strong foundation of skills and knowledge through the initial training programme, you will progress to Area Sales Manager level and continue to build long-lasting relationships with a variety of B2B clients and suppliers as you travel throughout the region. In addition to the freedom and autonomy offered to you at this level, you will also receive salary increases and a company car.
There will be further opportunities to progress in the future, for example, to a Business Manager position – becoming your own boss and being responsible for running your own operation within the group.

A starting salary between £25,000 – £27,000
