Position: Test & Automation Engineer
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000
Location: Aylesbury
Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Test & Automation Engineer to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Aylesbury.
Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Test & Automation Engineer to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the routine verification of low voltage switchgear and motor control gear assemblies, ensuring that the product is in accordance with the test specifications and procedures of the client.
The role:
To ensure components and assemblies are in accordance with the supplied engineering documentation.
To ensure functional and high voltage electrical tests are performed on the finished product.
To ensure test certificates and records of all tested products are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
To ensure the responsible Director is updated of any material shortages, which will cause work to stop.
To assist with the fitting and wiring of small control panels, moto starters and larger switchboards as workload dictates.
To assist with engineering activities including but not limited to the creation/amendment of D365 BOMs, AutoCAD drawings, test paperwork, certification, customer quotations, material ordering, PLC software programs and customer support on/off site.
To take an active role in the planning and implementation of the quality assurance system and in particular the continuous improvement programme, in liaison with the responsible director.
To participate in staff training as and when required.
To ensure all health and safety rules/regulations are strictly adhered to in the test area. The safety of yourself and others is paramount.
Qualifications:
Recognised apprenticeship and/or experience/training minimum fives years in related field.
