Warehouse Goods Out Team Leader – Job description
Key objectives
To support the Warehouse Manager on the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager you will manage all outbound goods and will ensure that process is followed, and team targets are achieved. The Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that the team consistently work as efficiently and as safely as possible. You will have a minimum of one to two years' experience in a similar role and be prepared to assist in the hiring and training process of new staff members.

Have an understanding of Health & Safety best practice relating to warehouses and storage with a view to keeping yourself and others safe at all times
Carry out internal health and safety audits and inspections as and when requested
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
Ensure team members strictly adhere to company processes and procedures
Suggest ideas to streamline your department with a view to continually improving current standards
Print daily picks, sort and disseminate work appropriately, highlighting any potential issues with the relevant stakeholders
Manage the inputting of data into our carriers' booking systems to enable accurate delivery of goods
Ensure bespoke customer delivery requirements are adhered to
Accurately deliver goods on our ERP system
Ensure all product being despatched is correctly labelled and packaged appropriately for safe onward travel
Manage the sales team's expectations for all goods out working closely with the logistics team
Ensure the smooth running of your department by producing goods out reports daily/weekly/monthly
Motivate your team to achieve company and departmental daily KPI's and targets
Ensure the accurate delivery of goods in the most cost-effective way possible
Ensure the safe delivery of goods to our customers by choosing the most appropriate packaging and maintaining these standards within your team
Communicate goals, deadlines and delegate tasks to your team members
Assess team performance, provide feedback and conduct appropriate appraisals
Ensure your team have the relevant training to carry out their daily tasks and report any shortfalls
Assist and instigate stock takes as and when necessary
Be prepared to assist with other departments in the warehouse as and when required
The successful applicant:
Will live within reasonable commuting distance of Aylesbury.
Be an experienced Warehouse Team Leader with a track record of success in similar roles.
Min 2 years experience in a similar role
Strong history of performance and change management.
People management experience through formal and informal processes.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage upwards.
Ability to manage multiple task
Be prepared to assist with other departments in the warehouse
Assist with stoke takes.Salary £27-29K
