Environmental, Sustainability & Quality Manager

Role: Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental, Sustainability & Quality Manager to join their team in Aylesbury. The role is offering a competitive salary, range of benefits and the opportunity to join one of the UK’s fastest growing self-adhesive label printers.
As our ESQ Manager, you would be working as part of a team, and reporting to the Safety, Health, the Environment & Quality Manager. As a valued member of the team, you would be supported by many different teams, all who are here to help you in delivering excellent service to our customers, suppliers, and colleagues and in maintaining the Company’s reputation as a supplier and employer of choice.
Responsibilities
* Proactively supporting the business in everything relating to the environment and quality assurance
* Supporting the business and the SHEQ Manager to ensure that the business complies to the BRC and FSC certification standards and continues to maintain the highest level of certification
* Supporting the business and the SHEQ Manager in delivering the strategic direction in relation to the environmental compliance and quality assurance matters
* Proactively promoting environmental compliance within the company and enhancing awareness, developing the culture
* Proactively promoting sustainability and carbon reduction within the company and enhancing awareness and culture
* In addition, the successful candidate will lead the ISO 14001 certification project and carbon footprint project
Requirements
* Packaging / labels print experience preferred
* Understanding of BRC and ISO quality systems
* Attention to detail and ability to work in a methodical and logical way, tackling problem solving in a pragmatic and practical way
* Effective communication skills at all levels with the ability to influence others
* Report writing skills and the ability to analyse data
* Proven track record of successful audit planning and
* Excellent knowledge on all environmental matters relating to commercial operations
* Knowledge of the print industry would be an advantage although not essential
* Suitable environmental qualification and/or quality management qualification and potential membership of institute or body
