This specialist manufacturing business for domestic and commercial sectors are continuing to expand their supply chain operations.
At their site in Aylesbury, the Procurement Director is looking to attract into the team an experienced Procurement Manager who will focus on process improvements for the department.
Within the role of Procurement Manager, typical responsibilities will be to: –
Define and develop procurement strategy for the business unit.
Manage, lead and develop a procurement team of four.
Develop strong working relationships with key suppliers for direct materials.
Manage cost avoidance activity.
Have strategic and category buying responsibility.
Work closely with engineering teams for new product development activity.
Provide department KPI's for spend, project and high spend areas.The successful candidate will: –
Have gained their purchasing experience working within a manufacturing environment.
Will be able to develop strong communications and relationships with suppliers.
Will have a good understanding of ERP systems.
Be able to develop a team.
Have excellent organisational skills.On offer: –
A salary to £60,000
