Overview
On behalf of Buckinghamshire Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join the Payments team within the Service Finance directorate. Working alongside the Head of Accounts, you will be responsible for leading a team of Finance Officers to deliver an effective and efficient Accounts Payable function, planning and managing the work and performance of the team and proactively driving continuous improvement through automation and streamlining processes to provide high quality professional services.
About the role
As a Payments Team Leader, you will be working towards identifying and implementing improvements across the Accounts Payable function. Consulting with subject matter experts to identify where process improvements can be introduced, and seeing these through the design stage to delivery.
This is a temporary position until 31 January 2024, though there is potential for this to be extended further. The pay rate is £16.90 per hour PAYE, and you will be working full time time, 37 hours per week. Buckinghamshire Council are working on a hybrid basis where you will work remotely for 3-4 days per week and in the office 1-2 days per week.
The Aylesbury office is conveniently situated in the town centre (HP20 area) with great transport links including a local train station and excellent road connections to the M25, M1, M4 and M40.
About you
The successful candidate(s) should have:
Experience in Accounts Payable within a large organisation is a must
Experience of managing a team is expected
Experience of working on large scale projects is beneficial
