A specialist provider of additive manufacturing machinery is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their highly skilled R&D department. Based in Aylesbury, you will benefit from a starting salary of £42,000 (depending on experience), 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), hybrid working, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and International working experience.
As Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for:
Design and development of new and existing products.
Produce high detailed drawings for fabrication and assembly.
Generation and management of BOMs
Interface with outside vendors for component selection.
Research and analyse design proposals, specifications, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of design applications.
Project based activities, working individually and frequently as part of a team across the company departments both in the UK and internationally.To be a successful Mechanical Design Engineer you will have:
Experience as a Design Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
Qualified to degree level in either PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng or BSc
Experience in sheet metal fabrication, welded assemblies, large assemblies (6oo parts across multiple levels), High tolerance machined parts and additive manufacturing (desired).
Proven experience in designing industrial machinery and producing high quality technical drawings.
3D CAD (such as CREO, Solidworks, solid-works).In return, you will receive an excellent benefits package which includes:
