Work Schedule – Fully office based
Hours: Monday to Friday – 37 hours per week, 9:00am to 5:30pm

Overview
On behalf of Buckinghamshire Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Support Officer to join the Practice Management team in Aylesbury. Working alongside the Practice Manager, you will play an important role in providing an efficient, confidential and knowledgeable legal support service, delivering the day to day administrative functions of Legal Services with the Legal Practice Manager, and provide a high level of customer service to the Legal Services staff, clients and visitors

About the role
As a Legal Support Officer, you will have a number of responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:
 Admin work including preparing bundles for court; monitoring mailboxes; maintaining centralised diary; preparing document for sealing; dealing with incoming and outgoing post;
 Answering telephone calls and taking clear, accurate and consistent messages.
 Receiving visitors to Legal Services.
Setting up appointments; meeting room bookings; booking train tickets; ordering stationery.
 General admin duties including filing, photocopying, printing, collating papers, generating documents for lawyers. Using Microsoft Office/legal precedents/workflows to produce documents
This is a temporary position for 12 months, though there is potential for this to be extended further or be made permanent. The pay rate is £14.18 per hour, and you will be working full time, 37 hours per week at the Walton Street offices in Aylesbury.
The Walton Street office is conveniently situated in the town centre (HP20 area) with great transport links including a local train station and excellent road connections to the M25, M1, M4 and M40.

About you
The successful candidate(s) should have:
 Experience of legal practice business support.
 Knowledge and experience of legal business support.
 Experience of quality systems such as LEXCEL.
 Understanding of court processes.
 Good communication skills.
 Ability to accurately collate extensive legal documents.
 Ability to collate and maintain accurate records.
 Ability to work under pressure, manage competing deadlines.
 Good ICT skills.
 Experience in using legal case management system.
 Knowledge of court bundling applications and finance systems.
 Experience of preparing bundles for court would be an advantage
