Are you looking to start a career in surveying or property and are you great with people? Fairhive are looking for a Graduate Surveyor to join our busy and friendly team!

Fairhive is a non-profit affordable housing provider with ambition. We already provide affordable housing to more than 20,000 people in our community but we want to do more. That’s why we are striving to provide 1,000 additional homes by 2025.

As an graduate surveyor at Fairhive you can expect a varied workload and to be a valued member of our team. Assisting the busy Property team we will provide you with experience so that you can look to gain a professional qualification.

About the Role

We are looking for an graduate surveyor with a degree in a recognised surveying discipline with good attention to detail and the ability to multi-task to provide essential surveying support to the Property team.

On the Job you will:·

Work alongside experienced surveyors in our Planned Maintenance team

Undertake a variety of survey types and assist in the administration of repairs and maintenance contracts

Diagnose building defects and specify remedial actions

About You

We’re looking for someone who is keen to progress a career in a surveying or property related discipline and who enjoys working with a diverse range of people. You will understand the importance of delivering an efficient and effective service to colleagues and customers.

For this role you will need:

An degree level qualification in surveying or construction or demonstrable experience in a similar role.

Good general education including GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths and English.

You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:

good communication skills both verbal and written·

attention to detail·

strong planning and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise·

the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team,·

practical problem solving skills·

competent IT skills including MS Office
